Can you please include the patch discussed at
http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=7431 in the gentoo kernel patches
bundle?
Is solves two nasty problems (one oops) on PPC boxes that uses firewire.

PPC people: Any thoughts on this? As you can read on the upstream bug it is not
planned for inclusion just yet, due to some risks with this change (I guess)?

It's probably okay for inclusion, I've applied it here to 18-r2 and will test
it out, but I don't expect any problems.  If you'd rather we waited until it is
submitted for inclusion, that's fine with me as well.  I'm looking to stabilize
2.6.18 soonish, this is the only bug holding that back at the moment. :)

Fixed in gentoo-sources-2.6.18-r3 (genpatches-2.6.18-4)
