media-gfx/gtkam-0.1.12-r1 is blocked from being merged on my freshly installed
stable amd64 system. threw a monkey wrench into emerge -e world, that's for
sure.
And yes, emerging with FEATURES="-collision-protect" works, but it's not an
ideal workaround. I noticed that it was trying to modify several strange
linguas in the scrollkeeper database, such as zh_cn and others (this output,
however, didn't seem to be logged...)

this is because its not running gnome2_src_unpack or gnome2_omf_fix.
in addition, the -r1 ebuild doesn't make use of the gnome2 eclass so its kind
of ugly.
i've requested -r2 stable on the remaining archs so we can get rid of the
ugliness :) ( see http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=154662 )
funny that this is the first time someone has run into it.
thanks, fixed in cvs.
