Description
Evil Compile Person
2006-10-27 13:43:09 UTC
The current stable dev-dotnet/pnet fails to compile with gcc-4.1. This is fixed in pnet-0.7.4 which has been in the tree with no bugs reported for almost 3 months. The other 0.7.4 Portable.NET packages should also be marked stable. Here is the list: dev-dotnet/pnet-0.7.4 dev-dotnet/pnetlib-0.7.4 dev-dotnet/pnetc-0.7.4 dev-dotnet/ml-pnet-0.7.4 Note: the previous ebuild maintainer didn't follow the keywording policy. I'd like to take this opportunity to fix that. If the packages don't build/work on your arch or if you don't want these packages keyworded, please drop the keyword for your arch from all ebuilds (or ask me to do it), remove your arch from the CC, and leave a little comment. Thanks! pnet-0.7.4: 1. emerges on x86, please note: QA Notice: the following files contain executable stacks Files with executable stacks will not work properly (or at all!) on some architectures/operating systems. A bug should be filed at http://bugs.gentoo.org/ to make sure the file is fixed. For more information, see http://hardened.gentoo.org/gnu-stack.xml Please include this file in your report: /var/tmp/portage/pnet-0.7.4/temp/scanelf-execstack.log RWX --- --- usr/bin/ilrun RWX --- --- usr/bin/ilverify 2. passes collision test 3. passes test suite pnetlib-0.7.4: 1. emerges on x86 2. passes collision test 3. passes test suite pnetc-0.7.4: 1. emerges on x86 2. passes collision test ml-pnet-0.7.4: 1. emerges on x86 2. passes collision test I have no idea how to test this... Build log to follow shortly. dev-dotnet/ml-pnet-0.7.4 fails to build (expect an attachment to arrive shortly, exhibiting an argument list that is too long). Created attachment 107417 [details]

pnetlib / HPPA - test failure
Stable I guess. Removed keywording for ml-pnet, kept the other packages for HPPA. ia64 stable These are left to close this bug, dev-dotnet/pnetc-0.7.4 arm dev-dotnet/pnetlib-0.7.4 arm dev-dotnet/ml-pnet-0.7.4.arm as dev-dotnet/pnet-0.7.4 itself is allready stable on arm. Been already done, no ChangeLog entry, noone removed arm from this bug. Sigh. |
