emerge of meld fails with msgfmt error. Same bug has been seen on Debian, so I
assume it's an upstream issue:

meld 1.1.4 seems to be OK.

just wanted to point out the same thing happens here can we get this stable?

Just a quick to note that I've seen this bug as well and 1.1.4 installed and
seems to be running Ok. 1.1.3 is not instalable.

I just fixed a dependency in meld-1.1.4 ebuild, but that can be considered a
bug fix and shouldn't cause any problems.
Arches, please go ahead

I meant _build_ fix. However it introduces a lot of GNOME package deps via
gnome-python-desktop now (instead of a different set of deps before).
Also the pygtk-1.6 built_with_use check doesn't work anymore due to pygtk-1.6
having it removed, so that will be taken care of soon too.
Please hold off until further notice (hopefully not more than a day)

sparc stable.

------- Comment #7 From Mart Raudsepp 2007-01-10 09:48:34 0000 -------
remaining arches, please go ahead with stabilization - all should be good now
in the ebuild (two build fixes were done), while 1.1.3 has problems with
compiling against everyones latest stable gettext
