Description Torsten Kurbad 2006-10-25 05:54:37 UTC
Starting with portage 2.1.2_pre3-r6, after upgrading portage, emerge --pretend still works fine, while the real merge immediately exits after the
"Emerging (x of y) foo/bar"
line.

I attach a file with a thorough description.

Can anyone tell me, what is wrong here?

Torsten

Post the output you get on screen, the log is useless. Plus, are you using nss_ldap?
Comment 3 Torsten Kurbad 2006-10-25 07:13:12 UTC
Hi Jakub,

did you even bother to read the contents of my attachment?
It contains:
- screen outputs when running emerge
- emerge --info (before and after)
- gcc-config outputs
- and a small section of the emerge.log just to show, that it doesn't help.

The problem is that there is NO output at all.
emerge simply exits after the first line, without any error message whatsoever.

And, yes, I am using nss_ldap. Where's the connection?

Regards,
Torsten
