Delete the outdated tarball from /usr/portage/distfiles *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 151915 *** I *DID* try to delete the outdated tarball. Read my original post please! ==================== QUOTE ====================== I've attempted to rm -f /usr/portage/distfiles/Blue-1.6.tar.gz and re-emerge, no effect -> it just downloads it again, completely, and then tries to resume the download as stated above. ==================== END QUOTE ================== The "duplicate bug" is for another version of this ebuild. Even if it takes some time for a digest to get pushed from CVS to the rsync mirrors (using namerica), we're talking 6 days here, and I had previously emerge --sync'ed just prior to re-trying this emerge: # emerge --sync > /tmp/emerge-sync.out 2>&1 # rm -f /usr/portage/distfiles/Blue-1.6.tar.gz # emerge mplayer > /tmp/mplayer_emerge.log 2>&1 # cat /tmp/mplayer_emerge.log Calculating dependencies ... done! >>> Emerging (1 of 1) media-video/mplayer-1.0_rc1 to / >>> Downloading 'http://mirrors.acm.cs.rpi.edu/gentoo/distfiles/Blue-1.6.tar.bz2' --16:55:24-- http://mirrors.acm.cs.rpi.edu/gentoo/distfiles/Blue-1.6.tar.bz2 => `/usr/portage/distfiles/Blue-1.6.tar.bz2' Resolving mirrors.acm.cs.rpi.edu... 128.213.5.37, 128.213.5.34 Connecting to mirrors.acm.cs.rpi.edu|128.213.5.37|:80... connected. Same bug shows up here too. The digest is broken. try fetching Blue from the upstream mirror, please. I also tried to emerge mplayer and got the same error. Originally portage tries to get the file from http://www2.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/Skin/Blue-1.6.tar.bz2 , and gets the file then tries to resume it 3 times making a copy each time. I rm'd the file and got it from http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/skins/Blue-1.6.tar.bz2 . Portage still tries to download failing with: "The file is already fully retrieved; nothing to do." I coompared the md5sum from that site and the file matches. I checked the Manifest "DIST Blue-1.6.tar.bz2 281056 RMD160 c16342d3131f01fbd294ff109b8ab31cef555d13 SHA1 2a082bdef2f5eebc403c234a036949f38683da06 SHA256 3a32b59bfc2c3c46acdead2ca65c592a696daaa42561dfcd45c10b8032de8c6d" for the md5sum entry and dthere was one. The sha1sum " d894cbd44ffb7bde14a8f9bbdac53525a51e1e08 Blue-1.6.tar.bz2" does not match that in the Manifest file. I also tried to emerge mplayer and got the same error. The people of mplayer must have changed their Blue theme a bit and this has affected the Manifest of all mplayer ebuilds... # ls -Fla /usr/portage/distfiles/Blue-1.6.tar.bz2 -rw-rw-r-- 1 root portage 225883 Oct 23 03:33 /usr/portage/distfiles/Blue-1.6.tar.bz2 [ebuild R ] media-video/mplayer-1.0_pre8 USE="3dnow 3dnowext X aac aalib alsa dts dvd dvdread gtk mad mmx mmxext oss real sse truetype unicode vorbis win32codecs xv xvid -3dfx (-altivec) -arts -bidi -bindist -bl -cdparanoia -cpudetection -custom-cflags -debug -dga -directfb -doc -dv -dvb -encode -esd -fbcon -ggi -gif -i8x0 -ipv6 -jack -joystick -jpeg -libcaca -lirc -live -livecd -lzo -matrox -musepack -nas -nvidia -openal -opengl -png -rtc -samba -sdl -speex -sse2 -svga -tga -theora -v4l -v4l2 -x264 -xanim -xinerama (-xmms) -xvmc" LINGUAS="-bg -cs -da -de -el -en -es -fr -hu -ja -ko -mk -nl -no -pl -pt_BR -ro -ru -sk -tr -uk -zh_CN -zh_TW" 53 kB Total size of downloads: 53 kB Would you like to merge these packages? Either change the SRC_URI to mirror://gentoo or remove the damned stupid theme from the ebuild. Users are complaining about thing all the time in #gentoo and filing bugs as well. Reopening the bug. Upstream broke the digest by messing w/ the tarball for at least 4 times in past 2 weeks. Starts to be annoying. this is a fix/hack that solves the bug, but in a un-ethic way ebuild /usr/portage/media-video/mplayer/mplayer-1.0_rc1.ebuild digest I can't also emerge mplayer because of this bug... (In reply to comment #19) > I can't also emerge mplayer because of this bug... > Ditto here. My temporary 'fix' was to not use the gtk USE flag until it's fixed.. *** Bug 154200 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** (In reply to comment #17) > (In reply to comment #16) > > I have fixed it whith ebuled ... digest > > but bvetter fix the Manifest file in portage tree > > It's not the point.
