Some things that need to be changed to the ebuild:

RESTRICT="nomirror" should be removed if you want the ebuild to hit the tree :)

KEYWORDS="~amd64 ~ppc ~sparc x86" please set it to ~x86 only

The ebuild is missing language support (de fr it ru sk)

Please, attach the patch that fixes the kdelibs problem and include the
official URL that provides it.

We will not add support for <kde-3.5.5.

Neither the languages or the documentation are being treated by the supplied
ebuild. I'll fix it.

The dependencies need to be reviewed again as well.

Fixed in CVS. Thanks for the initial ebuild. You can find the application under
app-backup/kbackup.
