I know I'm 3 days short of the month but -r1 was a hotfix for 1.4.3 that was
there for more than a month, so I suppose you shouldn't be having problems with
stabling this now.. and anyway I'm sure x86 and amd64 will take more time for
the stable to happen ;)

Differences between the two versions: 1.4.3-r1 has Creative NJB support, does
not use exscalibar anymore, and uses libvisual 0.4 rather than 0.2. The minimum
xine-lib version is changed, but that is no problem for you as the current
stable is anyway newer.

Been using this for a couple of days now, tested it with my iPod too.
Everything works great. Not to mention that it compiles clean, passes the
collission test etc. etc. ;)
