5.8.1 and 5.10.1 are their stable versions. Please add these to portage. Or,
at least 5.10.1. The only reason to add 5.8.1 is because the primary vendor
that targets PCGen (www.codemonkeypublishing.biz) only supports 5.8.1. That
should be changing "real soon now" to support 5.10.1.
The only difference between the ebuild for 5.8.0 and 5.8.1 that I've made is to
remove the "pcgen_high_mem.bat" from line 33 (as it doesn't ship that bat file
anymore).
I'm going to attach the two ebuilds I've created in my overlay, but obviously
not the zip files.
Note - the ebuilds submitted only have the keywords set to ~x86 because that's
the only platform that I have access to for proving that it works. Being java,
it should still work on all the same platforms that had them before.
