There were changes to a few targets that were previously commented out via a Gentoo specific patch. One of the targets was needed to build a jar for the admin webapp. In the process of uncommenting that target it seems another was needed, the webapps precompile target. Which might need to be commented out again as before. However there are some part of that target, the following one, fix-webapps needs. A bit of tail chasing due to upstream target changes, but I will resolve ASAP. I am not sure if either using or not using the admin use flag would help. I did not run into that error last night during tests. But the url is obviously 404. (In reply to comment #1) > I am not sure if either using or not using the admin use flag would help. I did > not run into that error last night during tests. But the url is obviously 404. I have get the same error with only "doc java5" in USE and with "admin doc java5" it's emerged successfully. Adding the admin use flag fixed it for me - thanks! (In reply to comment #3) > Adding the admin use flag fixed it for me - thanks! works for me too with a different config - emerge --info: Portage 2.1.2_pre2-r8 (default-linux/x86/no-nptl, gcc-3.4.6, glibc-2.3.6-r5, 2.6.18-gentoo i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.18-gentoo i686 AMD Athlon(TM) XP 2100+ Gentoo Base System version 1.12.5 Last Sync: Wed, 11 Oct 2006 12:00:01 +0000 ccache version 2.4 [disabled] app-admin/eselect-compiler: [Not Present] dev-java/java-config: 1.3.7, 2.0.30 dev-lang/python: 2.4.3-r4 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.0.1-r5 dev-util/ccache: 2.4-r6 dev-util/confcache: [Not Present] sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.18.1 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.60 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2 sys-devel/binutils: 2.17 sys-devel/gcc-config: 1.3.13-r4 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.22 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.17-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i386-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O2 -pipe" CHOST="i386-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/share/X11/xkb /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/gconf /etc/java-config/vms/ /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/terminfo /etc/texmf/web2c" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -mtune=i686 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks metadata-transfer sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo" LINGUAS="de en ru" MAKEOPTS="" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --delete-after --stats --timeout=180 --exclude=/distfiles --exclude=/local --exclude=/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="X admin alsa apache2 apm arts audiofile avi berkdb bitmap-fonts bzip2 cdr cli crypt ctype cups dba dlloader dri eds elibc_glibc emboss encode esd ethereal exif expat fam fastbuild foomaticdb force-cgi-redirect fortran ftp gd gdbm gif glut gmp gnome gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml guile hal idn imlib input_devices_keyboard input_devices_mouse ipv6 isdnlog jpeg kde kernel_linux lcms libg++ libwww linguas_de linguas_en linguas_ru mad memlimit mikmod mmx mng motif mozilla mp3 mpeg mysql ncurses nls nsplugin ogg opengl oss pam pcre pdflib perl png posix postgres pppd python qt qt3 qt4 quicktime readline reflection samba sdl session simplexml slang soap sockets spell spl ssl symlink tcltk tcpd tiff tokenizer truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts udev unicode userland_GNU video_cards_fbdev video_cards_nv video_cards_nvidia video_cards_vesa vorbis x86 xml xml2 xmms xorg xsl xv zlib" Unset: CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, INSTALL_MASK, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY I spent a few hours working on this yesterday. It's basically a tail chasing situation when it comes to patches. Like there are patches to not build the examples webapp stuff if the examples USE flag is not set. However those patches are conflicting with admin patches. It's likely I will have to make several sets of patches, combined, and then ones for like if examples flag is set, and admin is not, or if admin is set and examples is not. It's quite a big mess and had I known upstream would change the targets functionality as they did. I would not have introduced the admin use flag. If this patch thing continues to be the nightmare it's become. I might drop the admin use flag for now. *** Bug 150903 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Should be fixed with 5.5.20-r2 just committed. Please allow time to sync to mirrors.
