Note that you are NOT using gcc-4.1.1 (or your emerge --info is fake) > Portage 2.1-r2 (default-linux/x86/2006.0, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.4-r3 You should read gcc upgrading guide, it won't be switched automagically: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gcc-upgrading.xml *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 141404 *** This is *not* a duplicate of #141404. Jakub, you probably think this because my emerge --info shows gcc-3.4.4. The error was taken from the log of the failure, but the emerge --info was taken *after* I had sucessfully reverted to gcc-3.4.4. The failure occurred during emerge -e world following upgrade to gcc-4.1.1 (gcc-config i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.1.1 && source /etc/profile). |
