The symbols were recently updated but it's impossible to know their meaning
unless you read bug 144661...

brief description of symbols

I've committed this brief description of the symbols in svn r4381.  Do you
think that will be enough?  I'm not sure if it's really necessary to list all
the possible combinations.  Note that the list of combinations from bug 144661
doesn't include forced flags (the opposite of masked).

Please consider explicitly documenting all the combinations of annotations
given in comment #7 of bug 144661, not just the basics. I find it confusing for
instance that the parenthesis () take on different meanings depending on
context.
