dont know of any regressions here
anything we need to be aware of in stablizing autoconf-2.60 and
autoconf-wrapper-3.2-r2? They are deps of this version of coreutils.
Bug 137964 covers autoconf-2.60 ... looks like we'll need to go through that
first
for some reason i get (on x86 - after adding the necassairy packages to
package.keywords):
# emerge -av --oneshot coreutils
[ebuild U ] sys-devel/autoconf-2.60 [2.59-r7] USE="-emacs" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] sys-apps/coreutils-5.97 USE="nls -acl -static" 0 kB
[ebuild U ] sys-devel/autoconf-wrapper-3.2-r2 [3.2] 0 kB
thus, portage wants to install autoconf-wrapper-3.2-r2 _after_ merging
coreutils. this leads to:
ac-wrapper: /usr/bin/autom4te-2.59 is missing or not executable.
Please try emerging the correct version of autoconf.
aclocal-1.9: autom4te failed with exit status: 1
!!! ERROR: sys-apps/coreutils-5.97 failed.
Installing autoconf-wrapper-3.2-r2 manually _before_ merging coreutils works.
btw, coreutils-5.97 USE="nls -acl -static" themself should be ok on x86. i'm
now using them for 2 days without any problems ....
(In reply to comment #3)
> Installing autoconf-wrapper-3.2-r2 manually _before_ merging coreutils works.
Confirmed on ppc.
[ebuild U ] sys-devel/gettext-0.15 [0.14.5] USE="nls -doc -emacs -nocxx"
[ebuild U ] sys-devel/m4-1.4.6 [1.4.4] USE="nls"
[ebuild U ] sys-devel/autoconf-2.60 [2.59-r7] USE="-emacs"
[ebuild U ] sys-apps/coreutils-6.1 [5.94-r1] USE="nls -acl -static"
[ebuild U ] sys-devel/autoconf-wrapper-3.2-r2 [3.2]
Installing autoconf-wrapper-3.2-r2 manually _before_ merging coreutils works.
Confirmed on x86. Otherwise " Failed Running aclocal ! " is generated if
emerged in the given order.
1) emerges fine
2) Passes collision-tests
3) Passes test suites
4) Works
Aditionally, this is the order in which packages merge:
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Should all three packages be stabled, vapier?
coreutils-6.4 failed to build for me since it went stable because automake-1.10
is ~x86 still:
***** aclocal *****
am-wrapper: /usr/bin/aclocal-1.10 is missing or not executable.
Please try emerging the correct version of automake.
Sorry - forget the above - I had a ~x86 automake-wrapper installed by mistake.
In amd64, I'm getting the same error as Comment #14, but I've got a stable
automake-wrapper(-2) installed. It's looking for automake-1.10, which is still
marked unstable. error:
***** aclocal *****
am-wrapper: /usr/bin/aclocal-1.10 is missing or not executable.
Please try emerging the correct version of automake.
In reply to Comment #17, I had the same issue with amd64 also. As indicated,
emerging the unstable automake-1.10 solved this.
Same problem here, running emerge --sync && emerge -Duav world again solved it.
