OS/Version: Linux Status: RESOLVED Severity: normal Priority: P4
Resolution: FIXED Assigned To: x11@gentoo.org Reported By: rrepasky@lack.ucs.indiana.edu

Summary: x11-misc/imake-1.0.2 MD5 verification repeatedly fails

Status Whiteboard:
Opened: 2006-07-03 08:14 0000
Description:   Opened: 2006-07-03 08:14 0000
I repeatedly get the error

>>> Emerging (2 of 21) x11-misc/imake-1.0.2 to /
>>> checking ebuild checksums ;-)
>>> checking auxfile checksums ;-)
>>> checking miscfile checksums ;-)
>>> checking imake-1.0.2.tar.bz2
!!! Digest verification failed:
!!! /usr/portage/distfiles/imake-1.0.2.tar.bz2
!!! Reason: Failed on MD5 verification
!!! Got: 61d83a16b2e800746a8889a6d8e21e0e
!!! Expected: 02fea5a02ba2857c7d81820c8e8b8e6f

To remedy the situation I removed /usr/portage/distfiles/imake-1.0.2.tar.bz2,
/usr/portage/x11-misc/imake/imake-1.0.2.ebuild,
/usr/portage/x11-misc/imake/files/digest-imake-1.0.2, and then I did emerge
--sync followed by emerge -pu --deep world. The error persists.

emerge --info follows

------- Comment #1 From Samuli Suominen 2006-07-03 08:19:21 0000 -------
emerge sync

and if it still doesn't work

rm /usr/portage/distfiles/imake*
cd /usr/portage/x11-misc/imake
ebuild imake-1.0.2.ebuild digest

And please don't change Severity to Blocker if you don't know what it means.

------- Comment #2 From Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) 2006-07-03 09:38:25 0000 -------
Fixed in CVS. Resync in an hour and remove the current copy of imake from
distfiles.

Resolving.
