Description Sascha Silbe 2006-06-23 04:13:11 UTC
When using net-misc/openntpd-3.7_p1 (and most probably 3.9_p1) in a properly leap second-corrected environment (i.e., with a zone info file from /usr/share/zoneinfo/right), the time is off by 22s.
See bug #137705 for an explanation of the underlying problem.
A patch is available on "http://mira.66h.42h.de/pub/openntpd-3.9p1-leapsecs.diff".

The link doesn't work.
Comment 2 Thilo Bangert (RETIRED) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-21 05:20:40 UTC
hhm, the link works fine for me....

but it'd really much rather have upstream take care of feature requests like this.

Must be some home box that's occasionally connected, that's why people should always attach the patches here, not to refer to some weird external sites.

Attached above if you want to fix this, but yeah, such stuff belongs upstream.

while i applaud the idea to get openntpd to be leap second correct - i think this should be solved upstream.
thanks
