i8krellm is a plugin for gkrellm(1/2) for dell inspiron and latitude laptops.
It allows to monitor the cpu-temperatur and adds control for both fans of the
system. The fan-trigger temperatures can be configured or the fans can be
controlled manually.
I suggest x11-plugins/i8krellm
i8krellm depends on i8kutil (>= 1.5) which is currently still missing an
ebuild. (see bug#13706)

i8krellm-2.2.ebuild
This is the i8krellm-2.2 as I used it. It is configured to use gkrellm2 as i
dont know how to check for the different gkrellm versions (yet ;)
The same ebuild can be used for version 2.1
For me there are still 2 bugs, the first is a minor problem with the fan
configuration (I always have to start the right fan before the left one) and
the second is that the fan-status output is beeing displayed in the console.
added to portage. thanks.
