Don't think this is a dup, more related to http://www.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/x11-base/xorg-x11/xorg-x11-7.0-r1.ebuild?r1=1.19&r2=1.20

excellent! this seems to be the reason. seams to be that ati-flag is gone. now I should use mach64, r128 or radeon. right? next time a closer look to -pv should prevent this...
