I have verified that this package works for ppc.
Please add the ~ppc KEYWORDS to dev-ruby/ruby-gd-0.7.4 .

Steps to Reproduce:

1. add the ~ppc KEYWORDS to ruby-gd-0.7.4.ebuild
2. emerge ruby-gd
3. try sample script in /usr/share/doc/ruby-gd-0.7.4/sample/
