Please remove the relevant PROVIDE entries in all ebuilds of the following
packages:
app-text/acroread
app-text/evince
app-text/ggv
app-text/gpdf
app-text/gsview
app-text/gv
app-text/xpdf
www-client/elinks
www-client/links
www-client/lynx
www-client/w3m
www-client/w3mmee
you can do this for all packages that belong to printing, and I guess the
others have no objections either. Go ahead :)

Marcello was a bit quicker. I'm fine to do so for others, but please drop a
