Some minor fixes over 1.2.0.

Bumping the ebuild works fine, but they changed the soversion for no reason -
it is magically determined from the 3rd version component, so it went from .0
to .1. No API changes. sigh.

Well there's actually a change in the public header, so i guess that's the
reason for the new version. For now I added the preserve_old_lib* functions to
deal with it.
