Hello,
the only version of transcode available for ~ppc64 is 1.0.2-r2 and I would like
to have transcode stabilized on ppc64, because I want to mark k3b finaly stable
(last dependency for that great burning software on ppc64 is transcode).
The last change to the ebuild was made on 14.3.2006 and I don't see open bugs
for transcode-1.x (there are a couple for 0.6.x).
So the question is: is it ready to go stable?
Regards,
Markus
I suppose you can mark it stable at your liking, 0.6 is dead and has lots of
troubles, 1.x seems fine right now.
It will be asked to be marked stable sooner or later anyway, for dvdrip to
work.
Transforming in a stable request bug.

stable on ppc64
flameeyes: you might want to add arches to CC? ;-)
Stable on SPARC
Hallowed are the Ori!
So that's how you spell "Ori"
Stable on all archs i have access to.
on x86:
[ebuild N ] media-video/transcode-1.0.2-r2 +3dnow +X -a52 (-altivec) -dv
+dvdread -extrafilters -fame -gtk -imagemagick +jpeg -lzo -mjpeg +mmx +mp3
+mpeg +network +ogg +quicktime -sdl +sse +sse2 -theora +truetype -v4l2 +vorbis
+xml -xvid
compiles fine.
I'll test it's functionality later. Anything I need to look out for in
particular?
just to keep you informed: i'm currently testing media-video/dvdrip-0.52.7-r1
for bug #127495 together with transcode-1.0.2-r2 on x86. As i plan to rip and
transcode a dvd, my results will be available in about 12 hours.
i've tested transcode-1.0.2-r2 [ +3dnow +X +a52 (-altivec) +dv +dvdread
-extrafilters +fame +gtk +imagemagick +jpeg -lzo +mjpeg +mmx +mp3 +mpeg
-network +ogg +quicktime +sdl +sse -sse2 +theora +truetype -v4l2 +vorbis +xml
+xvid ] with dvdrip-0.52.7-r1 on x86. Seems to work fine. For details, see my
comments on bug #127495.
