in portage there is games-simulation/flightgear, a very good flight simulator,
but this simulator is command line online and sometime is very hard to
configure; now there is kfreeflight a GUI frontend to the FlightGear command
line. Hope to see the ebuild in the portage soon.
errata corrige, i wrote: "a very good flight simulator, but this simulator is

is not ONLINE, but *only*, sorry for the inconvenience.
I think need-qt 3 needs to go after the *DEPEND lines
Tested this (version 0.3.2-r2) on my 2006.0 amd64 machine. It will work the
first time it is run but the next time it is run it will hang up
initializing.... and it will not run. Not sure if this is a problem with the
ebuild or an actual application issue or perhaps it is not 64 bit ready. This
FlightGear front end looks promising but it is KDE specific and it is not very
mature at this point.
I have opened a bug report on this upstream.

into this bugreport there was not an ebuild for the 0.3.2-r2 release, but only
for the 0.3.2, so probably your problem can be generated by this issue. now i
have uploaded the new ebuild for the last devel release, please try it. I have
only x86 machines, so i'm not able to tell you if it's a 64bit problem, for
this is better to ask upstream, to the main developer.

Desktop preferences are not problems related to Gentoo Bugzilla or Gentoo
stuff, here there is only the ebuild to let you install the software and
nothing else; however if i remember correctly, there is another FlightGear
frontend specific for GNOME environment somewhere on sourceforge.
If you can, try the new ebuild, thanks ;)
kfreeflight ebuild is now in portage.
Thanks for all
Is this going into portage? I had to do an overlay to get it with the
attachment.
The latest stable version is there.
