I created an ebuild for kde-misc/kompose-0.5.4. It needs a patch to compile against KDE 3.5.1.
Created an attachment (id=81498) [details]

This ebuild requires also the following patch

kompose-0.5.4-ktoolbar-patch
This is the patch needed to compile kompose 0.5.4 properly agains KDE 3.5.1.
Works for me on x86, KDE 3.4.3. Seems a little zippier too.
