Hi,
I'm using a 12" Alu PowerBook and updated to kernel 2.6.15 to use Airport
Extreme.
But pbbuttons stopped working correctly. It starts and is running in
background, but pressing a button pbbuttons should react on (eject, mute,
louder, etc.) doesn't do anything.
If I close the lid, then the LCD turns off as normal BTW.
Regards,
Markus
P.S.: this is from http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-418040.html
Does showkey still show the keycode? fn-F1/fn-F2 as example.
yes, the same keycodes as in 2.6.14.x are shown.
Okay, so far so good. Another problem could be nonexistent eventX files.
There're known problems with the latest kernel and the latest stable udev on
ppc with creating eventX files. The udev should be at least udev-071 which
should correct this bug (as far as I know). Or as a workaround you can create
the event files manually.
yes, upgrading to udev-072 solves this problem (071 and 073 have problems with
usb devices, so I used this version, as I use it on my PPC64 machine, too.)
Should I close this bug, or keep it open as a reminder?
Close bug, as it's fixed.
