Advise vmware-workstation-* users to use /opt/vmware/workstation/bin/vmware-config.pl -skipstopstart

Using the skipstopstart option makes life a hell of a lot easier.

No.

Instead, baselayout should be fixed and stabilized.  Adding a crappy workaround just means we're less likely to get a new stable baselayout version before the next release.
