there is a nasty bug in libao that causes apps to crash when libao tries to use arts a lot of users of gaim hit this in all distros, I filed a bug with libao here: http://trac.xiph.org/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/644 to no avail. gaim devs tell me that RH has patched arts to work. RH bug is here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=176241 patch is here: http://cvs.fedora.redhat.com/viewcvs/*checkout*/rpms/arts/devel/arts-1.5.0-check_tmp_dir.patch?rev=1.1 This patch has been pushed out with FC4. It would be a "Good Thing" if we could get this in as well.
I was hearing of that by an user. I'll take care.
Committed as arts-3.5.0-r1.
