the ecasound utilizes the USE=pic flag, apparently to "fix" something on amd64
fix the package so that the USE=pic flag is not utilized and that the code is
always generated properly for all architectures
Latest version seems to work fine for me here on amd64, so I dropped the pic
useflag from that, when arches will mark that stable I'll complete closing
this up.
What version are we supposed to be marking? The latest was just added a few
days ago. Why not just revbump the old build since that seems to have the flag
missing as well now?
If this is not *so* urgent, I think you can wait for latest ecasound to prove
himself good (aka, wait the usual 30 days), then mark and the pic problem is
gone.
So if someone can start testing this already, the bugs can be found now instead
than a month from now when we're asking for true stable marking :)
Added a status so people can remember of this :)
Okay arches, please start considering this for stable marking, thanks.
!!! ERROR: media-sound/ecasound-2.4.3 failed.
!!! Function dyn_install, Line 1197, Exitcode 0
!!! File
/var/tmp/portage/ecasound-2.4.3/image///usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/pyecasound.so
matches a file type that is not allowed in /usr/lib
Problem fixed, was trivial because the directory was feeded by the ebuild
itself.
