I'm using kde-misc/yakuake-2.7.3 from two days and I don't see any problem.

Just wanted to add the same "bug report". yakuaka works with
CFLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=7450 -mtune=7450 -maltivec -mabi=altivec -fno-strict-aliasing
-pipe -ftracer"
