I emerged games-fps/fuhquake-bin on my amd64 box and it worked well for me with
no problems. Perhaps should be added to ~amd64 or amd64.

please post emerge --info, thanks

WTF? This is a KEYWORD request. Why is it necessary to close this?

If the AMD64 team is incapable of testing packages, just say so. I'll add this
to my queue and test it when I get a chance, if that's the case.

Sorry about that, Chris, Ive just been marking the requests for keywords with
no emerge --info as NEEDINFO. Probably not the best idea in hindsight, but it
does help weed out the ones that I can verify someone isnt using -zomg cflags
on.

Not here I'm afraid:

 # /usr/games/bin/fuhquake.x11
Error: W_LoadWadFile: couldn't load gfx.wad

If I'm doing something wrong, please reopen the bug.

Yup. It's an engine. You need data.

Where do I find that data? I couldn't find any packages depending on
fuhquake-bin...

None do.

You can emerge quake1-data or quake1-demodata (w/ USE=symlink)... it used to be
we required people copy the data by hand. Of course, the ebuild doesn't tell
anybody any of this, which is why I figured I'd take this one myself, so I
could fix up the ebuild at the same time.

Oh yeah, I think LHA is still busted in the tree (bug #159100), so it might not
work. *sigh*

------- Comment #9 From Christoph Mende 2007-08-01 04:09:58 0000 -------
fuhquake-bin needs to depend on emul-linux-x86-xlibs first

------- Comment #10 From Tristan Heaven 2007-08-01 11:35:31 0000 -------
can't you fix that?

------- Comment #11 From Christoph Mende 2007-08-01 13:09:01 0000 -------
I could, but I usually don't touch packages that I don't maintain

------- Comment #12 From Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) 2007-08-01 17:58:20 0000 -------
Considering the change is necessary *only* to facilitate your architecture (and
this bug), you are perfectly within your rights to touch the package, whether
it belongs to the games team, or anyone else, for that matter. Sure, it is
great to notify the maintainers, which you've done, but you don't need to wait
for us to do something so simple.

I've gone ahead and made the necessary changes, so feel free to do your thing.

amd64 dep on emul-*-xlibs added - masked this package in no-multilib profiles,
and added ~amd64. Also played thru some levels ;-)

It sure is fun "testing" games ebuilds, isn't it?

Thanks for getting on this. My main amd64 machine is still in a box somewhere
from my move.
