Full Text Bug Listing

DVD Styler 1.5 beta 1 was released on 10/18/2005.

Changes:

    * added SVG support and SVG-buttons
    * added slideshow (works only under linux)
    * menu object properties: added possibility to change x,y and to choose
default/custom width,height (thanks Thomas Lorgi)

beta2 is now out and it requires wxSVG which is also not in portage.

dvdstyler-1.5_beta2.ebuild.patch

This adds the new wxSVG dependency (see dependent bug for wxSVG ebuild), and
fixed up Portage-vs-Upstream version nomenclature conflict. Builds and runs
fine on x86. I've attached a patch - hope it is in the correct format. I must
say it works very well so far, even fixing a "blocky button fonts" problem I
had with 1.4. Please test! :)

Patch against last attached patch (#73166). Please let me know if a diff
against current is preferred. This patch configures wxGTK 2.6* library
dependencies and configure environment and bumps wxSVG dependency.

I based this on the current xmule-1.12.0.ebuild - the VLC ebuild methods for
wx-config manipulation are unnecessarily complex for this package. Tested on
x86, launches fine, GUI tools work. Please test and report! :)

Does not work - error in compilation. I have installed wxsvg-1.0_beta5 from
http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=112887 w/o problems.

I wanted to report that 1.4 does not build with wxGTK 2.4 on my system and I
have found this ... and it (1.5_beta4) works for me (except some problems with
the generated DVD which I hope to solve after reading some more documentation
...) - on AMD64

There already is a DVDStyler v1.5 beta 5.

Shouldn't some of these ebuilds go to portage?

Actually, it prompts for langauge (if no ~/.dvdstyler is present) and then

Seems odd that it is using 2.4 instead of 2.6 of wxGTK.

Requires wxSVG 1.0 beta 7, ebuild available in bug 112887.

dvdstyler works for me on x86. Work even better now that I removed jpeg-mmx
(see bug 114103).

For the record, I have wxGTK 2.4.2-r4 and 2.6.2-r1 installed.

1.5_beta7 works fine here on ~amd64 (finally allowing me to ditch wxGTK-2.4 out
of my system):

Ryan, the new version requires wxsvg which is only ~x86 keyworded and under
wxwindows herd, dvdstyler has ~amd64 ~ppc x86 so bumping it will either mean
dropping amd64 & ppc keyword due to missing dep or that wxsvg be correctly
keyworded.
Removing dvdstyler 1.4 will require once the bump done that it's stabled on x86
(what will also require that wxsvg be stable on x86)

you're right, i missed that.  i'll get wxsvg in order soon.

I don't know very much about writing ebuilds, but renaming 

dvdstyler-1.5_beta7.ebuild 

into

dvdstyler-1.5.ebuild 

let me install the current version of it (1.5?!?)

However, I had no success in installing it by compiling it by myself, but this
ebuild works.

Builds fine. The only hiccup which I have is that it doesn't work.

Recompiling mjpegtools have it working fine.

please bump to stable.

Please remove wxGTK-2.4 and bump wxGTK-2.8
