When I run the apmd init script I get the following: * Starting apmd... An apmd is already running as process XXXX: If it is no longer running, remove /var/run/apmd.pid removing the pid file and re-running apmd start gives the same error, with a different pid. It looks like apmd is starting, but dying (or something). ps-ax | grep apm doesn't show anything (other than kapm-idled) running /usr/sbin/apmd manually starts apmd however
