This is a pretty simple request. The samba ebuilds should have mirror://samba/old-versions/${MY_P}.tar.gz added to SRC_URI. This will allow people to merge older versions of samba even after they've disappeared from our mirrors, as the samba official mirrors only keep the latest version in the default location. While it is always best for users to emerge sync, sometimes company policy prohibits it, so this would work around that issue without bloating our mirror infrastructure in any way.
