the "eject" program is version 2.1.0 upstream and is not in portage. compontents in gnome-2.12 (for an example) call eject when unmouting certain devices such as the Apple ipod. Prior versions of eject always display "invalid argument" error - yet as root it ejects the ipod with the said error. I noticed on fedora this issue is fixed by eject-2.1.0, basically I'm throwing some motivation to version bump it :) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
