Looks like there is a missing file (libosp.so.3). I'll post the output of
`emerge docbook-sgml-utils` as an attachment for clarification.
Also, I've search other posts that say the emerge of this package fails, but
have not seen any with the same error message.

Problem solved. I re-emerged openjade, then emerged docbook-sgml-utils
