Description Jeff Mitchell 2005-08-14 07:08:50 UTC
When in verbose (Alt+F1) mode, when it asks which keymap you wish to load, if you type in a number and
then try to press backspace to delete it, you cannot delete the first character. As an example, say that you
want to load the default keymap, but accidentally press the number 2. 2 will be displayed, but pressing
Backspace will not remove it. Anything you type after the two can be deleted with Backspace, but not the
initial character. It's not just a screen glitch; if you then press Enter, it'll say Loading keymap ''2'' (those
are double single quotes, not double quotes).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go into verbose mode to pick keymap
2. Press an "accidental" number
3. Try to remove it with Backspace

Actual Results:
As described above

Expected Results:
It should have deleted the first character, allowing you to correct your error.

Dell Inspiron 8600, x86, LiveCD 2005.1 minimal.

I know that I have seen this bug before, but can't seem to locate it now,
otherwise I would mark this one as a duplicate and REOPEN that one.

Anyway, this is a genkernel issue, so I'll reassign to them.

Assigning to release@ until a release is made with this fix...

This is fixed with the 2005.1-r1 release media.
