I would like to remove the qalculate package from Portage since we now have
the split packages libqalculate, qalculate-gtk and qalculate-kde. This is how
upstream distributes qalculate now, and keeping the old versions in a package
with a different name will only cause confusion.
However, since qalculate is ~sparc, qalculate-gtk would also have to be
~sparc. Right now, libqalculate and qalculate-kde are already ~sparc. Could
someone from the sparc arch team test and keyword qalculate-gtk?
TIA,
I'll try again in the morning, but the reason this doesn't have a keyword
currently is it didn't build when I tested the other qalculate packages.

qalculate-gtk build failure with gcc-3.3.6
Currently, qalculate-gtk will fail to build on sparc using gcc-3.3.6 and
glibc-2.3.3.20040420-r2 (current default ~sparc compiler for non-experimental
profiles). However on gcc-3.4.4 and glibc-2.3.5-r1, it builds fine. Until we
get it working on gcc-3.3.6, I'm going to hold off on keywording it.
I added a new version of qalculate-gtk (0.8.1) to Portage. It compiles and
works on my sparc box (with gcc 3.3.5). Is it possible for you to try it?
Also, I am surprised qalculate-0.7.2 does work on ~sparc but not
qalculate-gtk-0.8*.
qalculate-gtk-0.8.1 works here. I've added the ~sparc keyword, which I think
finishes up this bug.
Indeed. Thanks very much for your testing.
