It's detailed in this bug: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100894 A patch was supplied (and apparently it was also implemented upstream) but it seems it hasn't found it's way into portage yet (it's not in the 1.2.0.007 version either) You can see a patch for it here: http://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=10524&action=view I've tried it and it's solved the problem for me.
