            <thetext>The line &quot;killall -q $I &gt; /dev/null 2&gt;&amp;1&quot; does not stop the program.
In fact the command &quot;kill -q FahCore_82.exe&apos; eg will not stop the grid software.
Instead I have to kill the process containing the string
&apos;su foldingathome -c /opt/foldingathome/client1/foldingathome&apos;.

            <thetext>To clarify this: The described behavior does happen immediately after the start.
If foldingathome hs finished some part of his work, especially after writing a
line like  &apos;Completed xxx out of xxx steps&apos; the shutdown via killall -q ... works.
