<thetext>xemacs 21.4.9 looks for a version-specific PPC patch to fix some combreloc
syntax in configure. This patch exists for 21.4.8 as xemacs-21.4.8-ppc.diff,
and it can be reused as xemacs-21.4.9-ppc.diff with no apparent ill effects. If
the file is absent, the ebuild aborts.</thetext>

<thetext>Thanks, updated and verified. Can you make sure it works ok for you and comment
here? Then I will close the bug.

<thetext>Thanks as always for such prompt action. I finally got an emerge sync to bring
that file in, and diff indicates that it is identical to the .8 patch, which is
what I did locally. I tried the beginning of a reemerge of xemacs, and it
proceeded past where the error occurred the first time. I am confident that
your work will fix the bug, because I was able to get xemacs to emerge (and it
appears to run properly) by copying the .8 patch to .9.</thetext>

<thetext>Thanks again raq.. I'll set this as resolved then :)

If you come across any more things like this please don't hesitate to making a
bug and assigning to me, either i will take care of it or assign it to someone
who can

            <thetext>How about missed xemacs-21.4.10-ppc.diff ?
Still copiing manually?

Just did "emerge rsync" and then tried to emerge xemacs-21.4.10-r2 but not successful without manually copiing that missed file.</thetext>
