            <thetext>dev-libs/newt-0.50.35 has a severe bug ( see bug #87453 ), after the last glibc upgrade we can see apps linked with newt-0.50.35 randomly crashing with a &quot;glibc detected *** double free or corruption&quot; error.

Arches, please test newt-0.51.6 and mark it stable.

mips keyword.

newt is a generic library required by some programs like asterisk, partimage,
etc and I plan to start test them on some SBC mobo mips based (MIPS 4Kc).
