<thetext>smbc 1.0.0 is around from 2004-09-xx as I see, but there's no ebuild for it...

Things will be boosted if we would have some sort of ebuild to test. (http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=1 and http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/devrel/handbook/handbook.xml?part=2&chap=3)

Else, we'll gladly enqueue this task: we're very busy at now, but this will be done... :-)</thetext>

<thetext>I thought it would be more difficult :-)
A couple of things to notice for future submissions: a file metadata.xml (the package meta descrition: not required by the submitting user, but useful) and, most important, the correct DEPEND and RDEPEND variables: if a package is requested by configure step, it is in DEPEND (and, usually, RDEPEND equals DEPEND).
This said, thanks :-)</thetext>
