Resulted to be a great emulator, not only for NES, and in active development. It uses GTK2 and runs smoothly on my system. "Xe is a multi system emulator for Linux that emulates many console and handheld video game systems of the past. It currently supports eleven different systems with more in progress." BTW it seem to be closed source, as only the binary can be downloaded.
