<thetext>Is there anyone working on porting the latest version of pymol (0.97), July 15 2004 (http://pymol.sourceforge.net).

If not, we (i.e. students in my laboratory) could help.

pymol-0.97 ebuild

Here is my attempt at an ebuild for pymol-0.97 (my first...)

This is the same as pymol-0.95, except I removed header_order.patch since the
order is correct in the 0.97 version.</thetext>

<thetext>Thanks for the reminder. I just added the new version to Portage.

(I have been testing 0.97 for a few days and it seems that this new version solves the ray-tracing bug previously reported [1]. Aggressive optimizations no longer seem to make pymol segfault when raytracing. I you still have problems with the current version, please comment on the appropriate bug report.)
