<thetext>When I tried to emerge xd3d-8.2.1 it didn't install anyting useful. Looking closer at it several errors occur during the build, but the emerge seems to fail to notice it. Looking even closer I noticed that it needs g77, but gcc-3.3.3 now defaults to build without it. I have no idea how to clean this up, but the ebuild merging without error under these contitions is certainly not the right behaviour =)</thetext>

It certainly isn't :-).. Sorry for the inconvenience, fixed in portage now so that the ebuild fails when g77 isn't present.</thetext>
