However it appears the Metacity configure script is bugged over. When --enable-xinerama is passed to configure metacity doesn't even test for xinerama, it disables it explicitely. Passing --disable-xinerama does 'work' (the same, explicitely disable the test for xinerama;) ) Omitting the option leaves autodetection as it was done in the older 2.6.5.
