            <thetext>elvis the vi clone is at version 2.2 and needs a bump current version in portage is 2.1.4-r1.

the new release incorporates bugfixes and many new features listed at the page above. (bugfixes not listed there)

Would have version bumped locally but looking at ebuild shows version specific 
labels, suggest using PV to make version bumping easier, not sure how or whether the patch would still need to be applied so unable to update.
