I gots no prism PCI cards, and the one 802.11g card I do have doesn't work so well on sparc with the kernel's prism54 drivers. Finally got an 802.11b PCI card (prism2) for ye olde SPARC. Initial testing with the tools (particularly iwconfig and iwlist) produces either errors or seg faults. However, attempting to run them through strace makes them behave properly. I don't know if that is because we run in v9,32-bit-user-mode, or because it just gets it wrong. I hate bugzilla. weeve@gentoo.org 2005-06-13 19:27:48 0000 Finally, an update after many moons of nothingness; The combination of kernel 2.6.12-rc6 + linux-headers-2.4.26-r1 + wireless-tools-28_pre8 has gotten us to a point where wireless-tools works on a ~sparc box.
