<thetext>The package floatflt has been removed from texlive-latexrecommended. However, the standalone floatflt package is still listed as a blocker in texlive-latexrecommended. This way, there is no method for installing floatflt
if one uses texlive.

Workaround: one can install floatflt by hand (latexing floatflt.ins and copying files to /usr/share/texmf-dist/latex/floatflt).
The question is whether the floatflt ebuild would work with texlive, or it only works with tetex.

Reproducible: Always</thetext>

            <thetext>blocker removed, thanks

I don't know if it will work with texlive, we would have to check why it has been removed from texlive (I fear some licenses issues) and the ebuild will probably need a rework since it's been masked because it didn't work with tetex3. Please file a new bug for it if you want it back, it should install stuff into /usr/share/texmf-site as we do for other latex packages.</thetext>

<thetext>It has been removed due to license issues ("do not sale" in license). However, allowing to emerge floatflt does not interfere with the license.

> It has been removed due to license issues ("do not sale" in license). However,
> allowing to emerge floatflt does not interfere with the license.

ok; yes it's ok to have dev-tex/floatflt around; then please file a new bug to make it install to /usr/share/texmf-site
(should be just adding TEXMF="/usr/share/texmf-site" in the ebuild)

we'll also need to have a look at its deps, make it use versionned tarballs and check if there aren't any update from CTAN. Perhaps we'll have to add a new license too, but i've added the "nosell" license some time ago if it can fit there.

after that it'll be ok to unmask a new revision/version of it :)</thetext>
