However, the standalone floatflt package is still listed as a blocker in texlive-latexrecommended. This way, there is no method for installing floatflt if one uses texlive. Workaround: one can install floatflt by hand (latexing floatflt.ins and copying files to /usr/share/texmf-dist/latex/floatflt). The question is whether the floatflt ebuild would work with texlive, or it only works with tetex. However, > allowing to emerge floatflt does not interfere with the license. ok; yes it's ok to have dev-tex/floatflt around; then please file a new bug to make it install to /usr/share/texmf-site (should be just adding TEXMF="/usr/share/texmf-site" in the ebuild) we'll also need to have a look at its deps, make it use versionned tarballs and check if there aren't any update from CTAN.
