Things to look for: * It has to build with stable kernels, obviously. For this, it's easiest to test with latest stable for the arch. * Modules have to load under those kernels (ie. no unknown symbols). * DRI should be enabled when using these modules with latest stable drivers (xf86-video-*). For instance, this one should work with current xf86-video-ati and xf86-video-intel, while something like x11-drm-20071019 probably won't.
