hmm; i can&apos;t fetch the directory from ctan.
texlive version is a kpathsea enabled one and seems to be more up to date and maintained.

I&apos;m starting to think it&apos;d be better to last rite dvibook and use tl version instead.

Opinions ? It seems that was you who submitted the ebuild many years ago :)

Yeah, bug 56468. ;-)

What about tetex and ptex users? They can&apos;t use the texlive version and would lose the functionality. Wouldn&apos;t it make sense to wait with last-rites for dvibook until tetex/ptex go away, too?

yes it&apos;s ok that way too unless some people complain about it ;)
(so far i see it ignores ldflags, minor issue though)


anyway I hope there aren&apos;t much tetex users left; they&apos;ll probably have more problems than the pain it would be to migrate to tl; see bug #227443, nothing has moved, I&apos;ll probably reassign it to m-n soon.
